- I have a proven pair of Patagonian Cavies. 4 and 5 years old. Last year the female had twins. She is friendly and will come up for food and pets, I can even hold her if I want. The male is skittish and will only come for treats sometimes. One of the male’s ears is a little rough on the tip from fighting with another male a couple years ago.
