We are the second private breeder to produce a litter of fat tailed gerbils within the state of New York, and (approximately) the fifth private breeder to produce a litter in the United States; at least since the importation ban on african rodents that took effect in the early 2000’s. Amidst the ban, the fat tailed gerbil is considered to be an extremely rare species in the United States trade, yet it makes a great display, ambassador, and pet species for both novice and professional keepers/facilities alike.
