- Very sweet 1 year old chinchilla. We purchased her from Petsmart for $150. Her cage was $180. We spent several more hundred dollars on the accessories including her exercise wheel, exercise ball, play pen, dust bath, food, etc. We have a newborn baby and don't have as much time to get her attention, but have enjoyed having her as a pet.
