  • Title: Beamer the lemur ISO a loving home!
  • Name: Kyle McGinty
  • Location: Florida
  • We have a beautiful female, 15 month old lemur (named beamer). We purchased her from a local breeder and now unfortunately haven't been able to give her the space that she ultimately deserves. She's super sweet and loving, just as most female animals go being in heat and having hormones has given her a streak of moodiness. She was raised with a marmoset her whole life and is totally comfortable with household pets such as dogs and birds, she needs a little time and effort to be brought to the true potential that she has as your best friend and amazing pet. We've had her outside a good amount of the time and she's gone for walks on the leash with us before obviously she's a wild animal if you give her the chance she's going to go but we haven't had any problems with her outside contained with us and a controlled calm environment. That being said she might do better if you consider fixing her so her her hormones might be a little bit more in tune, we have no experience in doing so and cannot guarantee that it will make any difference at all but have heard from many lemur owners and breeders that it could potentially help. We're not desperate or strapped to get rid of her, she's our baby and our absolute best friend so if you're not serious and can't give her an amazing home where she's comfortable and has safe space to run around and play then please don't respond! We're really only putting her up because of the fact that she deserves the best life that she can get which is more than we can give her sadly. You must obviously own a permit for a ring-tailed lemur, if you don't it's illegal and you're most likely not prepared or completely understanding of what it's like to own a ring-tailed lemur so please don't respond. Not sure if she will get along with other lemurs but definitely willing to let them meett or set something up if you own one and are interested in her. We've never sold an exotic animal such as a ringtail lemur, so excuse our knowledge of exotic animal sales but that has no bearing on the fact we know what she needs and deserves so if you are interested in giving her a happy healthy life and a forever home let us know!
