- This 2 1/2 month out-of-pouch female opossum was originally purchased in June 2016 from a breeder in PA. She was to become an animal ambassador for my 501(c)(3) non-profit humane education/animal welfare organization, however, she is not comfortable in an educational setting that includes travel. I believe she would be fine in a nature museum or zoo setting where she didn't get frightened every time she had to come out of her enclosure and placed in a carrying crate - only to be taken out again once at our destination, etc.
I recently received two young opossums whose mother was killed by a car. They appear to be much more comfortable in a traveling situation so I am interested in placing the female that I got in June. I paid $250 but the price is negotiable. This is for pick-up only or if you aren't too far, I would consider meeting 1/2 way.
(The photo is not of the opossum I currently have, however, she is the same size and cuteness as the pair in the photo.)
