  • We are now taking deposits for our 2016 spring fox kits! We will have several color morphs of red fox (vulpes, vulpes) available.

We require a $200 deposit to hold a spring kit with the remaining $350 of the balance due at pick up ($550 total). The kits will be ready to leave us in 4-6 weeks and we will start them on litter box and harness training before they leave our home. They will come with a copy of our USDA permit. *Deposits are nonrefundable.

If you live out of state we will need a copy of your permit for our records (if required).

    1) Foxes do require a specialized diet. They need an amino acid called Taurine. Most people feed a dry dog food with taurine already added. Such as Blue Buffalo, Infinia, Merrick or Nutro. We still suggest supplementing with an additional source of taurine such as raw chicken hearts and/or livers. We give out foxes several ounces of raw hearts and livers 3-5 times per week. You can also use a feline taurine powder such as fel-o-taurine. http://www.calvetsupply.com/product/Taurine_Powder_1lb/161?gclid=CNb7pIXDkswCFVBffgoddhcMrQ

    2) We will start them on litter box training before they leave our home and you can use any cat litter that is not clumping or clay based. They push the litter with their nose and when they lick it off it can cause an internal blockage. We use Feline Pine or Fresh Step Crystals as they work the best for odor control.

    3) Foxes require the same vaccinations as a regular domestic dog only in a killed or modified live version. Most vets can treat your fox but its best to call and verify they are comfortable treating them.

Please message me if you have any questions regarding them or their general care.
