Calf was left on mom 3 days to receive colostrum. We also gave the calf 3 units of camel plasma, directly following birth. This is a precautionary method we provide for/to all of our newborn camel calves to ensure the best health & strong start from birth.
Calf is currently on the bottle and on exhibit in the petting area of our wild animal park. He is well socialized, has a strong frame structure and humps are filling out/up nicely. Healthy, strong appetite. Both parents live on grounds & mother is a fully trained ride camel.
