Robin and Barry are both Blue Schecke (Piebald) Male Degu, with a big White Tip. Schecke is a German word meaning “spotted or dappled”. Some also call the color “Pied”. Many of these colorations, have been developed and imported from Europe.
They were born on 09/27/21. They are very sweet and could be neutered. Dr. Driggers in Gilbert, AZ, does offer neutering for Degus.
Degus are small rodents from Chile, who are closely related to Chinchillas. Their diet is very bland and they eat a base of a pellet that has no added sugars. Degus are susceptible to diabetes, so low sugar diets are best. They also are given mixes of dried Timothy Hay, Mum Flowers, Dandelion, Sunflower and Pumpkin Seeds as well as an unsalted peanut each night for a snack. They also enjoy some type of fresh veggie once a day such as carrots, zucchini, any type of squash, cucumber, lettuce or celery.
Degus are amazingly loving little animals that bond with their owners. They make many adorable noises and can live 8 to 10 years. They are companion animals and must have a buddy. I would very much like these two brothers to go to a home together.

I do have a very special sugar free diet that will go with them. You may also purchase it from me in my store later on when you need more. I blend the diet on my own, as most commerical degu diets are very unhealthy for them.I am located in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Never a fee if you pick up here. I can deliver as far as Phoenix or Las Vegas for a fee. Delta Cargo Shipping is also available. I will not sell to an illegal state.
