Wolf Dogs

Blue and Selena are gray wolf hybrids. We acquired them in the May of 2018 at approx. 6 weeks old (they are now around 11 months old) to be animal ambassadors and were both used for hundreds of educational programs. Now they are retired and in search of their forever homes.

Blue and Selena are very aware of strangers and although they are not aggressive they can be very timid. Blue is a little more friendly and more likely to come around sooner. Selena is sweet and laid back but likes to keep her distance until she's comfortable. Blue is neutered, Selena is intact. Both are up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. Both are on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

They have very wolf-like personalities. They can be loving but will never be a family pet like a regular dog would be. New owner needs to be aware that there will be a transitioning period as moving homes can be stressful for such intelligent animals and only proper training and patience will speed the process along. Forcing yourself onto the animals may scare them, and a scared animal is an unpredictable animal. For this reason we are seeking people with previous experience, and a solid general understanding of hybrid's needs and behaviors.
