Purebred, registered breeding stock Kune Kune pigs.
If you are looking for a gentle, friendly pig you have found it! KuneKune (cooney-cooney) are the tamest, most gentle pigs. They live primarily on grass in a pasture and require very little supplemental food. They are a great addition to any farm and a joy to raise. They get along with other pasture animals and can be kept together with most. They are very easy on fences, and rarely try to escape. They root very minimally compared to traditional farm pigs. KuneKune pork is dark red, marbled, and delicious. Nothing like grocery store pork. Kunes do grow slowly, but the taste is worth the wait, and the care of them is so enjoyable. Since they eat very little feed other than grass (about 1-2 cups per day compared to 6-8 cups per day), your feed bill is very low.
All pigs do better with another pig companion. Discounts given for multiple pig purchase.
These piglets are purebred, registered with American KuneKune Pig Society, DNA tested and micro-chipped. $650 each.
Kunes also make wonderful farm pets! Un-registered pet Kunes or to raise for meat are $300 each.
