I have a male serval for sale. He's been with me since 9 weeks old. He was well socialized, traveled everywhere with me and exposed to other pets. He grew up with my dog and domestic cat. He didn't necessarily 'love'them; however, he tolerated and mainly ignored them.
He's OK with strangers, but has gotten more wary of them and is slow to warm up. He loves my husband and I to death, but we simply can no longer keep him. We have a newborn baby and he does not like the baby. Whenever we handle the baby and then him, he's very moody and unhappy. We do not feel comfortable with him and the baby alone.. this makes things very hard for us in our home. He deserves a proper enclosure, but we cannot build one at this time. We love him dearly, but our baby comes first now.
So, I do not recommend him to a family with small children OR lots of other pets- he needs and wants attention- servals are high maintenance and needy, at least mine is. He will be a great pet for a single person or older couple, with NO small children. It will take time for him to adjust to a new family, but not impossible- he's still young. Servals mature anywhere between 2 and 2.5 years. With lots of time, love, patience and room he will do well.
Serious buyers only! If you're interested, please email me.. I'll email you my number where you can reach me. I'm asking $2,000 (plus shipping, if needed). I'll include his traveling crate. Not looking to trade, take low ball offers, or any shady business.
If interested and need time I'll take a non refundable $500 deposit. Please read this entire post before asking the same questions.
Thank you!
