We had two giant African crested porcupines born in our sanctuary on January 21, 2013. They were both bottle-raised and extremely friendly. I decided to keep "Ny-Quill" for our educational shows and she has traveled all over the country. She is so friendly that she will walk otni her travel carrier when I open it's door!
Here's some info on Giant African Crested Porcupines: They are the second largest rodent in the world, they are native to Africa and they have over 30,000 large quills as adults!
They are one of the biggest hits at our educational presentations, and the only reason we have decided to part with this amazing animal is that her mom is due again any day now. We are only asking $1095, which is a steal since we usually get $1750 for our bottle fed babies.
You can purchase a baby that you still have to bottle feed (and get up at all hours of the night), but why bother when the hard work is already done for you?!
Ny-Quill will only go to a licensed USDA facility, so please don't respond if you are looking for an exotic pet.
Please feel free to call Mark with any questions at (313)819-5719
